Hell yeah, we’re gonna be alright

2018s Swimming… broke me… but it also saved me.

And this is in no exaggeration at all. From it’s melancholic opening Come Back To Earth, to its more bouncy acceptance anthem So It Goes, the album tells a story of someone checking in on themselves. It’s a personal album, so I’d understand if people don’t appreciate it as much as I did.

There’s these heaps of feel good energy, mixed with this sense of melancholy. Some points drown you in this silent feel good energy like Perfecto and Swimming. While some just go into the darkest depths of one’s conscious…

Wish I Never Texted You

On the 16th of July 2021, Sadboy DLR released his debut mixtape titled Wish I Never Texted You.

The mixtape features eight tracks with a seemingly cohesive storyline, of finding love, before having your heartbroken down the line.

I would be willing to dissect this album’s story, only if this article manages to get seven claps.

But before I analyse this tape, I do need to make a few things clear. My taste in music, does not define your taste in music. Most of the things I care about when listening to songs, may be things you have no real…

the best VIVIR song ever

There are very few artists who you can listen to and say, “This is different.”

It’s not your fault. Most of us don’t have the time to delve into the indie section of internet. And with the mainstream being saturated by the same kind of music. Having the reason to say, “This is different” is pretty rare. Now theirs different for “this is absolutely trash, and should be eradicated from this Earth,” or “this is good.” Luckily, I’ll be talking about the latter today.

Today’s Creative goes by the name of VIVIR. A Rock/Lo-fi inspired artist.

He began SoundCloud around…

Hear it from him.

The idea of spacy music is not very foreign in the Hip Hop industry. In fact, it has been landmarked by none other than the man on the moon, Kid Cudi. But even so, very few people seem to get this movement correct.

Although the comparison between a small independent artist and Kid Cudi is extremely unfair, I would still like to argue the case that Balo, might actually be onto something here.

Even the best must strive to be better

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is one of those few series that hit a special place in your heart. It affects this part of you, you never thought existed. It creates this world in which you cannot help but relate with the characters in it. Whether main or side. And for an anime like this, to not show up on a lot of people’s radars, was a slight disappointment.

A disappointment formed from the realization, that many had failed to find such gem in the rough.

Shown to me through an AMV, captivating me through nothing but moving frames and…

How can this possibly different from every other anime?

Love in MxR

MxR Plays is a reaction channel with over 1 million subscribes to its name. Hosted by Henry Liang, aka Lord Immersion (owner of MxR Mods), and his co-commentator Jeannie Lee, aka Potastic Panda (twitch.tv/potasticp), the channel’s initial purpose was an excuse for Henry to make YouTube content with his girlfriend for the fun of it. This was not only a good move in building their relationship, but long time fans can agree that they have seen each of them grow to love each other more, and also manage to improve the humour of their content.

Upon coming across their channel…

The Netflix original, Queen Sono, follows a female spy named Queen, who takes part in extremely dangerous missions while also having to deal with her own personal problems. The very quality of this show trumps most of the African drama series I have watched to date, and I can safely say that it deserves to be put up high with other actions masterpieces such as District 9 and Chappie.

In this article, I am going to be exploring the different ideas that drive the plot of this series, and what the writer Kagiso Lediga is attempting for us to understand…

The Tragedy of Toxic Relationships

Ronin’s All Girls Are The Same, is a song that portrays the pain of leaving a toxic relationship behind, even though you cared deeply about your significant other. Though the structure of the song is mainly just a chorus, this form of writing still manages to tell a story of emotions going through the person in question, and all of the feelings that they must have to live with for the rest of their lives.

Immortality is more of a curse than you think

Tappei Nagatsuki’s Re:Zero follows the tragic life of protagonist, Subaru Natsuki; a shut-in who is transported to a different world, due to reasons we do not no so far even though we are well over eight chapters into the series. Whether Satella was actually from another world, or something else entirely is far from relevant in this discussion.

In fact this is a discussion, on the ideas explored within this series by Mr. Nagatsuki, and why Re:Zero is one of the most difficult and genius series out there.
